What's This All About!?
Hello!
My name is Daniel and I am a student in Bath raising money for the Charity Childreach International (www.childreach.org.uk). By donating to Childreach you can help give children across the world the opportunity to reach their potential - the charity provides anything from medicine and maths books to toilet blocks for schools that have no sanitation.
On 15th June 2010 I will be traveling to Tanzania to climb the highest mountain in Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro. The climb will be a six day trek up almost 6000 metres to the summit.
Whilst this will obviously be an amazing experience for me, it also gives me the chance to make a difference in the lives of children across the world. I will also be visiting some of Childreach's projects in the area personally, to see how the money is spent and meet the people it goes towards helping.
And to make it better, this trip will be carbon neutral. I will be undertaking several initiatives (such as planting trees in Tanzania) to completely offset my carbon footprint from this trip.
Please sponsor me, however much you can, and help make a difference in the life of a child who doesn't have the same privileges and opportunities you or I do.
DON'T FORGET TO GIFTAID!
If you are a UK Taxpayer you can add GiftAid to your donation. This effectively means that the Charity can claim the tax back on your donation, and get up to an extra 22.5%! All you need to do is fill out the additional details for the claim to be processed, and it doesn't cost you a penny.
Thank you.
